Activate profiles (Common)

The Activate profiles page shows all the dimensions that have saved profiles. To activate profiles, select them and click Apply.

A Profile is a preselected list of items for a given dimension. You can use profiles to limit the amount of data that appears in commonly-used dimensions.

Notes on activating profiles:

• You can only activate one profile at a time for each dimension.
• The Activate profiles command is only active if one or more profiles have been saved, either by you or by the administrator. (Your saved profiles are only available to yourself and the administrator. The administrator's profiles are available to all users.)
• Activating a profile makes it active for the current session, or until it is deactivated. Clicking on Reset default view in the Reports tab does not deactivate profiles.
• Deactivating a profile does not delete it.
• Profiles apply to every item, identified by item code, that is a member of a dimension that is identified by a certain name. It is possible for more than one report to contain a dimension of the same name that includes items that have the same code. An active profile will apply to all such reports.
