Extracts
An Extract is a set of files that are optimized to produce fast cross-tabulations. You can use extracts to create tables.
- To create a table, first choose up to ten variables from the list of variables. Variables may be grouped under categories.
- The dimension area on the left-hand side shows the selected variables and their positions. You can rearrange them by dragging and dropping. The size of the final table in rows and columns is also shown.
The action buttons enable you to do the following:
- Define a measures dimension
- Define a weight field
- Set dimension order without dragging and dropping
- Publish the table
- The Table summary page appears. To publish the table, enter a title (required) and any other summary information, and then click Publish table.
- To open the Frequency page for a variable, click on its name. The Frequency page enables you to define recodes and custom bands.
